Since its emergence the butterfly has pursued one of the most successful evolutionary strategies. By optimising its balances and with a minimum of material it has created a unique process that culminates in a refined structure which is both reliable and functional. It has continuously adapted to changing conditions in an endangered environment, and the butterfly is one of the oldest species living on earth today.
The perfection of the butterfly system may be hard to reach, but all our work is guided by the driving elements of its strategy:
Balance rather than maximisation, flexibility, reliability and harmony of the elements.
